This patient experienced trauma that broke the orbital bone called the orbital floor, which is the supporting bone beneath the eye. The fracture in the orbital floor bone caused the muscle underneath the eye to get caught in the fracture, tethering the eye so that in the before picture he cannot look up without double vision. Note in the after picture, he can now look up without restriction or double vision after fracture is repaired.
