Artificial Eye Gallery Patient 311770
This patient had a left blind and painful eye - so painful that he was unable to perform his daily activities. Because there was no visual potential for this eye, he chose to have an evisceration, which removed the damaged and painful part of his eye. He was subsequently fitted with a custom prosthesis and was very happy that his pain resolved and his new artificial eye looks natural.
